Topic: Favor Of God Can Change Your life.
In everything we do here on earth, we have to seek the favor of God , that is very important for our survival.
(Luke 2:52 )And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Jesus has favor of His father in heaven that is why He has victory over death., over principalities and powers.The favor of God attracts His power. The moment we find favor before God our story will automatically change.
People around us will notice the favor, though it is not that simple . For one to receive the favor of God you have to go through different spheres of life. You have to endure many things and get really committed to receive His favor but eventually it will come. Let us look at the life of Queen Esther in the Bible. She was a woman who committed her life to save the Hebrews . (Esther 4: 15 -16. )Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me.
Do not eat or drink for three days night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done , I will go to the King, even though it is against the law. And if I perish , I perish. She was willing to take risk, through the favor of God. Esther had to seek God’s face with her people, and she found favor before God and the King, after she heard that their enemies were getting ready to destroy them , she called for three days fasting and praying with her people against their enemies. After declaring the praying and fasting , God turned things around for her and her people to their favor. She found favor before God and before the King.
(Esther 5: 2-3. )Joseph was another man who found favor before God and the favor of God carried him through all His suffering. , even when his brothers betrayed him, God’s favor was following him, at Potipher’s House he was promoted and had favor with his master and God. Even when Potipher’s wife accused him falsely, that was one of the ways he was fulfilling his purpose and destiny, God’s favor was upon him.
Even when they threw him into the prison, God’s favor was upon him. He kept up the faith, he kept trusting in the Lord without asking God why me? He remained faithful and prayerful, the favor of God carried him from the prison to palace. (Genesis 39:21. ) But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy. and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. How do we find God’s favor? We will gain the favor of God by living in obedience to His word. We will gain His favor by seeking His face , giving him hearts of gratitude and worship. We will gain His favor when we hunger for righteousness.
A lot of time when we need something from God we don’t know how to make our requests known to Him. See queen Esther and her people they encountered a very difficult situation and they had to seek God’s face by praying and fasting. It takes commitment to gain the favor of God. How have you tried to find God’s favor in your life? . You cannot seek favor from someone you don’t know. We must have personal relationship with Him first , then we can start asking for favor.
The question is , have you had personal encounter with Jesus? If not what are you waiting for? Accept Him today and you will begin to see His light in your life and you will begin to see His favor in your life, your life will not remain the same in Jesus name. When you find the favor of God even your enemies will bow for you. (Proverbs 16:7 )When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Favor of God does not come to us when we don’t have interest in the things of God. For us to have the favor of God we need to show Our love and interest to know Him. Most of us don’t start to seek God unless we have problems, even when we have problems, we don’t know how to go to our Heavenly Father in prayers. Let us begin to seek the favor of God today and it shall be well with us in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayers: Thank you Jesus for the grace you have given me to see this morning. I praise you and honor you in my life. Oh Lord let your Holy Spirit lead us to unlimited success and favor in Jesus name. I dismantle every opposition fighting against the favor of God in my life in Jesus name. Wherever I go let your favor locate me in Jesus name I pray. Holy Spirit direct me into all the wonderful things you have for me . Oh God arise and bless my life and my destiny in Jesus name. God please help me to meditate on your word day and night so that i can prosper in all that I do in Jesus name. Help me to draw nearer to you oh Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
