RCCG House Fellowship Leader’s Manual For April 12, 2020, Lesson 33 – Come Over To Macedonia And Help Us: A Call Into The Missions Field

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. TOPIC — Come Over To Macedonia And Help Us: A Call Into The Missions Field

PRAYER POINT: Father, help us to be sensitive and passionate for Mission Work.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leaders should ask members the significance of Holy Communion.

MEMORY VERSE: ” And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.” – Acts 16:9

BIBLE PASSAGE: Acts 16:4-10

4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

LESSON INTRODUCTION:

Some traits that distinguished Paul as a great missionary in our text will be discussed.

TEXT REVIEW: Acts 16:4-10

i. Mission field is a battle field and when battles are won, the Body of Christ is strengthened

ii. Numbers of souls are increased to God’s Kingdom when we engage in Mission work

iii. Sensitivity is a must for everyone who must engage in mission work.

iv. Holy Spirit is the instructor, guidance and director of the Mission Field.

LESSON OUTLINES:

  1. Paul has plans for missions: (covering new grounds for Christ), and consolidation of already founded churches. We can’t be so engrossed with conquering new territories that we let the already conquered one slip away and we can’t be so carried away with the already conquered territories that we forget the yet to be conquered ones. Who knows if the army that the anti christ is going to gather to fight Christ at Armageddon are the territories or the souls the church has failed to conquer or win. Christ said, those who are not with Him are against Him.
  2. Paul was sensitive to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit stopped him twice from going to places he had planned to go to and he obeyed. He was not wise in his own eyes as to disobey the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  3. Paul was a man of prayer: This is no news. After the Spirit stopped him twice, he prayed to know where He would go. This was his disposition since his encounter with the Lord on the way to Damascus (Acts 9:6). The result of his prayers opened a window for him to see where he was needed most – Macedonia. His obedience resulted in first and second Corinthians, first and second Thessalonians and the Philippians.

SUMMARY:
Every believe has been to called unto mission work.

CONCLUSION:
There may be no one calling in your dreams, but people are calling for helps in the streets, in the villages, in the creeks, in the deserts, in the cities etc; if you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, you will know where to go to and what to do. May be the Holy Spirit is also stopping you from going somewhere so that you can answer the call to missions. Maybe He is stopping you from spending on something so that you can sponsor mission’s activities.

ASSIGNMENTS:
List the characteristics of a good missionary.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord, make me an incurable soul winner for You in Jesus Name.
  2. Father, You sent Jonah to Nineveh and the people repented and came back to You, please send me today to that place penciled for Your mercy.
  3. “Behold All souls are mine” says the Lord, Father, create in me addiction and compassion for souls as the joint heir with Jesus.
  4. Holy Spirit, please lead RCCG to conquer more missionary ground for You both locally and foreign in Jesus’ Name.
  5. Personal prayer request.
