C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON FOR SEPTEMBER 9, 2018 UNIT I: MAN'S LOVE TOWARD GOD LESSON FOUR : TOPIC - LOVING GOD IN RISKY SITUATIONS

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON
UNIT I: MAN'S LOVE TOWARD GOD

LESSON FOUR.
LOVING GOD IN RISKY SITUATIONS

Part 2.
9th September, 2018 | NAAMAN'S WIFE'S MAID (2 Kings 5:1-19)

The slave girl was certain of the power of Yahweh, despite the fact that she was a slave, she did not keep silent about the loving God. She proved to the Syrian that Yahweh is the only God that can give total deliverance. In any situation we find ourselves, we must prove and proclaim the power of the living God.

A.   LOVED GOD DESPITE THE SLAVERY (2 Kings 5:1-6)
And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman's wife (v. 2).
i.    vv. 1,2: The Hebrew girl whose conduct was more important than mentioning her name was taken captive to the land of Syria. Humanly speaking, that could have provoked the animosity in her toward Yahweh. Where was He when she was being taken captive?
ii.   vv. 2,3: Instead of resentment, this girl must have seen serving Naaman's wife as a God-given privilege. Why? Most likely, pious parents brought her up, to know and love the true God, even in trying situations. How are you preparing your children for trying times(cf. Prov. 22:6; Eph. 6:4)?
iii.  v. 3: For He would heal him of his leprosy. This slave girl was certain of the power of Yahweh who worked in Elisha to do what Syrian gods and their physicians cannot do. Don't get shaken in your faith in spite of what you are passing through (Jam. 1:6)
iv.  With such a passion for such powerful God, do you think such a girl would be ready to keep quiet about it, even in that foreign land and precarious situation? (cf. Matt. 28:18ff)

B.    SHOWED GOD'S LOVE TO NAAMAN (2 Kings 5:7-19)
Then she said to her mistress, "If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy" (v. 3).
i.    v. 3: Though waiting on Naaman's wife as a slave girl (v. 2), she desired the health and welfare of her master (cf. Jer. 29:7; Eph. 6:5, 6; Col. 3:22). To this end, she would not allow his master suffer affliction while the God of her father was still alive. Do you see God as potent to be revealed in all situations?
ii.   One wonders how the girl got the courage to approach her mistress; a slave for that matter. What if the Syrian lord was not healed? Her love for God moved her to show God's love to her master, and that drove away all fears (1 Jn. 4:18).
iii.  It is high time we saw all men of God's. Naaman was definitely God's project, the maid couldn't overlook. You can't claim to love Christ, if you don't have compassion, love and empathy for the man/woman you can see (1 Jn. 4:20,21).
iv.   vv. 15-19: The faith of the little girl led to the conversion of this great leader of Syria. The God of the slave girl was tested and approved. Heaven must be rejoicing that the girl spoke up, that Naaman was healed, Elisha's ministry received a boost, and the gods of the Syrians confounded.
v.   By this girl's action, she had printed her name in gold. Can she ever be forgotten? What you do today in relation to spreading the love of Christ, have implications for your tomorrow. Do not be overcome by challenges. Show your love for God by your actions.

LESSON DERIVED
1.   If you don't love God when you are passing through challenges, then your love for Him when in joy and bliss is fake.
2.   You can't afford to keep quiet about your love for Christ because you are going through trying situations.

LIFE APPLICATION
The love of God in us should people us to put out trust in God. Job faithfully and whole-heartedly honoured God in sincerity, integrity and consistency. Job endured the loss of all he had, even the lives of his children. Upon that, Job kept his eyes fixed upon God for liberation. Also, Naaman's servant girl's conduct showed the true God to Naaman and his family, Naaman received total deliverance from Yahweh, the only true and loving God. No true Christian, who genuinely loves God would ever do less.

CONCLUSION
Christian are to keep their heads aloof in trials and temptations, not giving up their faith. We have to consistently show our love to God, not because we see the reason for us to do so, but because it is God's will for us to do so. And He knows better than we do. Believers are to bear the afflictions or trials and temptations by focusing our eyes upon God who loves all. Then compassion and mercy of God will flow both upon and through us. By His mighty power, He will deliver us through all our trials and temptations of life and give us the most victorious lives imaginable.
