TOPIC: YOU CAN’T BE STOPPED
Read: Genesis 26:12-32
MEMORISE
It came to pass the same day that
Isaac's servants came and told him about the
well which they had dug, and said to him, "We
have found water (Genesis 26:32).
EXPOSITION
Many believers do pray today as if everything is
only by prayer and fasting. Of course, prayer,
when it is lacking, power is lacking!
However, God expects that you back up your
prayers and fasting with right actions and
consistent persistence! Getting to your dear
Canaan land is not the function of God alone Who
has gone ahead of you. You must contribute your
unwavering faith and act where necessary, in line
with God’s directives, aside prayer, attitude,
volition and discretion.
Ten out of twelve spies sent to carry out
surveillance on Canaan came with the report that
they would not be able to conquer the men of the
land (Num. 13:28)! They believe they would be
stopped, and also succeeded in persuading many
of their side! They actually stopped themselves
because none of them reached the Promised Land
(Heb. 3:11). Isaac had dug wells twice, but the
enemies came on each occasion to fill the wells
up. They thought he would be tired of digging
another, but he never gave up, until he triumphed
and found water. The detractors could do nothing
again due to Isaac’s doggedness.
Dear devout, what do you think is stopping, or
can stop you from being what God designed you
to be? Reaching the very top spot of your career,
ministry and other godly aspirations cannot be
thwarted by any witch, wizard, man or woman…
The only one who can is you, and only you! If you
think you can get there, you can with the help of
the Holy Spirit.
But if you think you can’t, perhaps you are right!
No one thinks in terms of peanuts and gets a
cake! “If you are even going through hell, don’t
hold it! And if you catch hell, don’t stop!” Just go
ahead; you would get there if you don’t stop! So,
you can’t be stopped unless you stop yourself.
PRAYER POINTS
1. I receive the encouragement from above never
to stop in my aspiration to be the best in that
which God has for me, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, help me to become what You have
ordained me to become in You.
3. Lord, help Christian brothers and sisters who
are giving up on Your promises and programmes
for them never to lose hope.
