C.A.C Living Water Daily Devotional For April 12, 2024 : Title - SEPARATING THE PEOPLE FROM THE ALTAR

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH THE LIVING WATER (January-December, 2024)

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

DATE: Friday, April 12, 2024
(Day of Silence and International Day of Human Space Flight)

TOPIC: SEPARATING THE PEOPLE FROM THE ALTAR

MEMORISE : Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.” (Joshua 3:4)

READ: Numbers 2:1, 2

[1]. And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

[2]. “Everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by his own standard, beside the emblems of his father’s house; they shall camp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting.

EXPOSITION

God is absolutely holy and so wants to live in Holy hearts, temples and places. Although, the same people were to inhabit the tabernacle, they were instructed to maintain a significant distance from it, and the reason for this separation was holiness. Thus, they were required to purify themselves before approaching the tabernacle for worship (Exo. 19:10). Today, many of our churches are built near brothels and beer parlours, those who live in mission houses are no better than those 'outside there', yet we want to experience the kind of wonders as of old. When are stealing, adultery, fighting and all kinds of immorality going to stop in our midst? Oh, we need a change, if God's wrath would be averted.

While God resides within our hearts rather than in physical structures, He seeks a sacred connection, calling for a clear distinction between the spiritual and the worldly. His dwelling place, whether in our hearts or elsewhere, should be kept clean and sanctified. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a 'den of thieves" (Mt. 21:12, 13). God's Ministers must see to the sanctity of the Altars and Church environment (Num. 1:53). On this Day of Silence and International Day of Human Space Flight, noise must be reduced in homes and Church environments to allow people hear God as He speaks to us.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, I need a change. Holy Spirit, change me the way You want.

2. Oh Lord my God, consecrate me now and make me permanently Yours.

3. Father, purge Your Church of all tares that are distorting the wheat.

SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY:
CAC GHB: 243

1. Out of my bondage, sorrow and night,
Jesus I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy freedom, gladness and light,
Jesus I come to Thee,
Out of my sickness into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

2. Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come,
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee
Out of earth's sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life's storms and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee

3. Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come,
Into Thy blessed will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee;
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair to raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

4. Out of the fear and dread of the tomb
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come
Into the joy and light of my home,
Jesus, I come to Thee
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Amen.
