Anglican Church Sunday School Manual For June 28, 2020 :- Topic - OMNIPRESENCE

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. Sub-Theme:
Attributes of Jesus Christ (9)

Topic : OMNIPRESENCE

Text: Psalm 139:1-16; Matthew 28: 20; Ephesians 1: 22-23

Aims
i.to understand the scope and the nature of God’s active presence
ii.to understand the divine attribute of omnipresence in Jesus’ eternal state and
iii.how to obtain or lose the relational presence of God

Introduction
“Omnipresence” is a theological term that refers to the unlimited nature of God or His ability to be everywhere at all times. The active presence of God, both in places and in relationships (1 Cor. 6: 19-20), is one of the chief presuppositions running through the Scripture. The Triune God is present everywhere, and there is no place without God and no place beyond Him (2 Chr. 6: 18). Jesus laid aside His Omni-presence during his time on earth, but that did not limit Him in meeting some challenging situations in the lives of His disciples (John 11: 21, John 11:38-44). He has taken up that again divine attribute of omnipresence now in His eternal state.

Study Guide
1. From Psalm 139:7-13, preset Three (3) different ways you can prove the Omni-presence of God.
2. How do people define the limit of God’s presence? Gen 4:3-10; Jer. 23:23-27.
3. How can you explain the Omnipresence of Jesus Christ to an unbeliever? John 5:17, John 5:30; John 8:28; Heb. 1: 1-3.
4. How Jesus did promise His omnipresence to all believers in His name? Matt. 28: 20; John 14:18-20; Jn 14:26-27 and how is this manifesting in the believers’ lives? Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:42-43, Acts 2:47; Rom 14:18.

Conclusion
God is neither limited to nor dependent upon any place or anyone as His universal presence encompasses all creation. Jesus reveals what God’s presence is like and His passion that was and is to have a relationship with everyone who willingly allows Him to manifest His presence to him/her.

Food for Thought
Christ’s Omni-presence is vitally experienced by only genuine believers.

Memory Verse
Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
