March 15, 2020 Higher Everyday Devotional :- FROM FOUNDATION TO FINISH

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. FROM FOUNDATION TO FINISH

TEXT: ZECHARIAH 4:6-10

MEMORY VERSE: "Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you" (ZECHARIAH 4:8, 9).

Zerubbabel was a governor of the Persian Province of Judah and the grandson of Jehoiachin, penultimate king of Judah. Zerubbabel led the first group of Jews, numbering 42,360, who returned from the Babylonian captivity in the first year of Cyrus, King of Persia, between 538 and 520 BC. His companion was Joshua (Jeshua) son of Jozadak (Jehozadak) the high priest who returned with him.
Together, these two men led the first wave of Jewish returnees from exile and began to lay the foundation and to rebuild the second temple in Jerusalem. Then, the region of Judah was a small province that contained land extending 25 km from Jerusalem and was independently ruled prior to the Persian rule.

Note that the foundation was laid at a politically difficult time and hence, Zerubbabel needed faith and courage to lay the foundation and to finish it. Someone said, "Set goals, say prayers, work hard". Every great achievement started with a little beginning, including skyscrapers. No matter the difficulty you are experiencing today academically or in career, with courage, faithfulness and faith in God, you will finish well and strong.

QUOTE: Set goals, say prayers, work hard.

CHALLENGE: With God on my side, my future is settled.

PRAYER: Lord, increase my faith to trust You in all situations.
