February 26, 2020 Spirit meat Devotional :- DEALING WITH THE ENEMIES OF INTIMACY (1) - 2 CHRONICLES 26:15-21
In the next few days, we will expound on the enemies of your intimacy with God and how to intentionally deal with them. The following are some of the enemies of intimacy with God:
1. Success:
It is one of the major tools the devil has hijacked to replace God in people’s intimacy. Success is a good thing but as one who values intimacy with God you must take some steps to ensure that it doesn’t rob you of your relationship with God.
One of the dangers of promotion or success you must understand is pseudo-busyness or legitimate busyness. God promotes his people to put them in control of more of their time so that you can have time for Him. Life doesn’t get safer the higher you go, it gets more technical and that is why you need to be more accurate in your understanding and in your information.

When you allow success to take the place of God in your life, it will cause your attitude and your heart to change such that you no longer view God as your source but as your partner. You begin to see your life as a fifty- fifty thing between you and God: “Yes, I did my own part and God did his own part” kind of attitude. Have a structured prayer and word life in place before your success arrives and discipline yourself to maintain it afterwards.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace, no matter how busy or successful I am, intimacy with you will be my secret valve in Jesus name. Amen!
