The hardening process or desensitisation happens gradually such that a believer may be unaware that he or she is already being desensitised. There are activities that make it very easy for spiritual desensitization to take place. I will be discussing them one after the other.
 
UNRESPONSIVENESS TO DIVINE SIGNALS: When a believer is missing it and getting out of divine program and schedule, God always brings divine signals to such people but most of the time, they don’t respond to it. There are people that will ignore every signal of the rapture until the rapture actually takes place. A Christian is trained to interpret divine signals; to interpret signals in the spirit and is also expected to act accordingly. As a believer, you are supposed to be a practitioner of spiritual things, and the Bible is warning us not to allow ourselves to become hardened because it is a possibility. Don’t wake up one day to face the reality that the rapture has already taken place and you are still here. Run from spiritual desensitization.
 
WRONG SCRIPTURAL INTERPRETATIONS: There are pastors today that because they want acceptance in this generation and want to make people happy give wrong interpretations to the scriptures. You cannot change what God has written and established in His word and think you will go free. There are people that say if you are saved, you can’t lose your salvation. Why then does the Bible say “Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown”, (Rev. 3:11) if you can’t lose it? Don’t allow the devil to desensitize you to the truth of the word of God. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thes. 5:21). This message of eternal security is what makes a believer to become desensitized to the possibility of missing the rapture.
 
PRAYER:: LORD, help me to stay with the truth and guard my spirit from the desensitization of the enemy. Amen!
