C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON For September 8th, 2019. That the Scriptures Must be Fulfilled. UNIT I: THE SCRIPTURES ARE GIVEN.

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON For  September 8th, 2019. That the Scriptures Must be Fulfilled. UNIT I: THE SCRIPTURES ARE GIVEN.

C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON.
That the Scriptures Must be Fulfilled.
UNIT I: THE SCRIPTURES ARE GIVEN.
September 8th, 2019.

II. IN THE NEW TESTAMENT (Matthew 24:1-31; I Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:1-9; 2 Peter 3:-10).
The New Testament is the new covenant and a fulfillment of the Old Covenant. Jesus confirmed that He had not come to abolish the Law (Old Covenant) but to fulfill it. The New Covenant began with Jesus Christ, and there are 17 books written by four of His disciples, the Acts of the Apostles, the letters, and the Apocalypse (Revelation). Some of the end time events were also spoken of in the New Testament.

A. IN JESUS' WORDS (Matt. 24:1-31)
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to His privately, saying, "Tell us, when we these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" (v. 3).
i. vv. 1-3: Jesus told His disciples how the last days would be, because His disciples wanted to know what He said about the temple, and when it would be fulfilled. They were also curious about what the sign of His Second Coming and the end of the age.
ii. vv. 4-7: He gave them many signs to watch out for:
a) Deceit (vv. 4,5)
b) Wars, rumours of war, conflicts among nations, and natural disasters (vv. 6-8)
c) Christians would suffer persecution and hatred (v. 9)
d) Offence, betrayal and hatred (v. 10)
e) False prophets, increase of lawlessness and decrease of love (vv. 11,12)
f) Proclamation of the gospel all over the world to serve as a witness to all the nations, people and individuals (v. 14).
g) Abomination of desolation or a blasphemous object that brings destruction (vv. 15-20; NCV), Which prophet Daniel had predicted (Dan. 11:31)
h) The period of tribulation (vv. 21-24; cf. Rev. 16:1-17) and emergence of false christs and false prophets showing great signs.
iii. vv. 29-31: The sign of the Son of man means the sign of Jesus' appearance (1 Thess. 4:16). By these, Jesus predicted His second advent. This calls for our readiness as His elects.
iv. If Jesus could say, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Matt. 24:35), what is the implication? It calls us to take His words, teachings and instructions very seriously. Is the church of today doing that? Are we not carried away by the wind of false doctrines?

B. IN HIS DISCIPLES' WRITINGS (1 Tim. 4:1-5; 2 Tim. 3:1-9; 2 Pet. 3:1-10)
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Tim. 4:1).
i. 1 Tim. 4:1-5: Here, the Scripture is affirming the words of the Spirit of God concerning the latter days, which is characterised by mass drifting away from the true faith. The body of Christ shall witness great apostasy. Are we not already seeing this?
ii. 2 Tim. 3:1 describes the last day as perilous times. By "Perilous" it means that there will be many troubles (NCV). Isn't that scary? It might look so, but God's warnings are not to scare us but to prepare (equip) us against the devil's nefarious end-time plans.
iii. vv. 2-5: give some of the ungodly syndrome that would be in vogue in the last days, including the unhealthy love of money (mammon), boasting, lack of self-control, unloving, unforgiving, disobedience to parents, love of pleasure than God and godliness, among others.
iv. vv. 5-9: Here, believers are warned against ungodly people (hypocrites in the church), having the form of godliness but denying the power.
v. 2 Pet. 3:1-9: Believers are reminded that in the last days, scoffers will come "People will laugh at you" (NCV); "Mockers are going to have a heyday" (TMB).
vi. v. 10: We have the assurance of the promise of God regarding the manner of His return: He will come as a thief in the night, so that we are not unnecessarily deceived by the fake things being peddled by Satan's agents about the time of Christ's coming.
vii. The Holy Spirit has continued to warn of the end times and the spirit thereof. Antichrist is at work (1 Jn. 5). What then can believers do? They should listen to what the Spirit says to the Church and watch-out for all of end-time syndromes.

LESSONS DERIVED
1. Jesus did not leave us in the dark concerning the latter-day events, just as His disciples further affirmed that these last days are packed with troubles.

iv. God shall make all things new for His children; there shall be no more death, sorrow, weeping, etc. While the sinner (the wicked, ungodly) shall be gnashing their teeth in torment, the children of God shall forever be in joy, bliss in the kingdom of our Father.
v. Famine, war and rumours of war shall ultimately cease. It shall be fulfilled, the prediction of a new earth and a new heaven ( Isa. 66:22)

LIFE APPLICATION
Jesus referred to the days of Noah when the people were marrying and giving their daughters in marriage; they were winning and calling, until the flood came upon them, suddenly. For this generation also, the Scripture has predicted an inevitable end. Yet, some people sneer at this. Even, there are some who specialize in making mockery of the Word of God. It is believed you are not, and won't be, one of these? The end is coming and the date has been set, known by God only. God is not slack with His promise, but He is only patient for all of us to make necessary amends. Do this before it is too late.

CONCLUSION
This is the end of the fourth lesson of this series. It has revealed to us, in full details, how the scriptures were given in relation to the end-time events. It is believed that learners have been equipped with WHT the scriptures say about the end-time events in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament. The sincere prayer is that none of us would be caught unawares, in Jesus' name, by the sudden end that this present world is billed for. One of the secrets to not being caught unawares is to keep abreast of the happenings of the end times and be prepared to be rapturous.
