TOPIC - The Seven Spirits Of God 
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 77-78; Romans 10
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 11:1-5
MEMORY VERSE: “And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.” – Revelation 19:5

The MESSAGE:
The “Seven spirits of God” are mentioned several times in the book of Revelation: in verses 1:4; 3:1; 4:5 and 5:6. This does not mean that there are seven different spirits of God. The seven ‘spirit of the Lord’ are specifically identified in Isaiah 11:2 and Revelation 1:4 states that they are always before God’s throne.
There are at least three possible interpretations of “the seven spirits of God”. The first is that the seven spirits of God are symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The Bible, and especially the book of Revelation, uses the number seven to denote perfection and completion. If that is the meaning of the “seven” in the “seven spirits”, then it is not referring to seven different spirits of God, but rather the perfect and complete Holy Spirit. The second view is that the seven spirits of God refer to seven angelic beings, possibly the seraphim and the cherubim. This would fit with the numerous other angelic beings that are described in the book of Revelation: Revelation 4:6-9; 5:6-14; 19:4-5. A third possibility is based on Isaiah 11:2, which says, “And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.” This could possibly explain the seven spirits of God: (1) Spirit of the LORD, (2) Spirit of wisdom, (3) Spirit of understanding, (4) Spirit of counsel, (5) Spirit of power, (6) Spirit of knowledge, (7) Spirit of the fear of the Lord. The Bible does not tell us specifically who or what the seven spirits are, but the interpretation that they are the symbolic and component parts of the Holy Spirit, seems the most likely.
This can be seen in our lives as believers. In our journey to fulfil destiny and bring God’s kingdom to this earth, we need the daily and constant guidance of the Holy Spirit. We need the spirit of wisdom, understanding, might, knowledge, counsel, fear of God and the spirit of the Lord. Today, as you go in your service to the Lord, I pray that the Lord will endue you with power of the Holy Ghost to fulfil your earthly mandate, in Jesus’ name.

4. Every infirmity in my spirit, be weeded out now, in the name of Jesus.
5. By the blood of Jesus, I cancel every spiritual arrow targeted against me, in the name of Jesus.
6. Holy Spirit, plug my life into divine prosperity, in the name of Jesus.
7. This is my year of dominion, favour and divine acceleration, in the name of Jesus.
