In the family of God, there is no room for the existence of grandchildren; we all are to be direct children of the same Father -God. If you are born again, what we do after the experience of salvation is feeding and ministering to each other. We are equal in sonship but we are not equal in assignment. Your sonship is the foundation of your security and faith. When you get born again, you become a son in the family of God.
As a young boy when I was growing up, I was my father's favourite and all my siblings knew it. If they had any issue with him, they would send me to go and talk to him. That experience made me understand what it means to be a Father‘s favourite. It gave me a solid foundation of a father's love and made me know what it means to be specially treated. However, in the family of God, everybody can be the father’s favourite.
While this privilege is open to everyone, it is not everybody that takes advantage of it by taking this position. It is not everybody that develops their relationship with the Father to attain this level. What often happens is that such people look for someone that took advantage of his sonship with the Father and establish a relationship with him so he could be getting through to the Father on their behalf.
Do not ever build your relationship with God through another person’s relationship with Him. The fact that God brought a word to you through a prophet means you are important to Him. He is not focusing on that prophet but on you. Let this truth settle in you.
PRAYER: Lord, I pray for deeper understanding of our relationship to strengthen my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen!
