TOPIC - Righteous Anger 
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Esther 6-8; Acts 6
FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 2:13-16
MEMORY VERSE: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” – Psalms 30:5

The MESSAGE:
Righteous anger is a constructive anger. It is a healthy form of anger targeted at divine transformation in humans. It is expression of emotion guided by the Holy Spirit.
In our text, Jesus found men buying and selling inside the temple. The very place of worship to God was turned to a place of merchandising and He chased them out with cords and overturned their tables. This kind of anger helps bring out the best in the lives of others. It breeds healthy relationship and promotes societal harmony.
Constructive anger is targeted at character moulding and instilling righteousness. In Acts 17:16-34, it was constructive anger Paul displayed when he rebuked the demonic practices of the men of Athens and this led to salvation of some of them. Righteous anger excludes the use of violence, abusive words, and creation of conflict. It is saying and establishing the truth in love. It is targeted towards upholding righteousness and the right values in our society.
Lack of righteous anger is the reason so many worldly things are creeping into the church. It is also the reason many parents condoned vices and allowed the enemy to destroy their children. When there is lack of righteous anger things will go wrong in homes, churches, organisation and nation. Righteous anger is not ungodly. It is correcting in love.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:TARGETED ANGER, TO THE RIGHT DEGREE FOR A CONSTRUCTIVE PURPOSE IS THE STRENGTH OF A CULTURED MAN.

MORNING
  1. Father, let Your divine love and fear possess my life, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I resist and frustrate every attempt of the devil to mislead me, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O LORD, break me and remould me according to Your will, in the name of Jesus.

  4. Every progress of darkness around me, be terminated by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I bind every spirit of lawlessness and confusion, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Every ungodly structure in my life, family, nation, be pulled down by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Holy Ghost fire, consume every work of darkness in my life, in the name of Jesus.
