--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. Topic - Prompt Intercession

Text: Amos 7:1-6 (KJV)
Key Verse: “Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small” (Amos 7:5).

MESSAGE:
It was recorded of John Hyde that in the 1908 annual convention at Sialkot (now Pakistan), he dared to pray what was to many an impossible request that during the coming year in India, one soul would be saved every day, three hundred and sixty five people would be converted, baptised and publicly confess Christ as their Saviour. Impossible, yet it happened. Before the next convention, John Hyde had prayed more than four hundred people into God’s kingdom. This was achieved out of the depth of his spiritual insight and the ferocious burden he had for India as a nation.
In this passage, Amos received a vision of different images twice: swarm of locusts and fire, conveying the same meaning of God’s impending judgment on Israel. His prompt response is worth emulating. On two occasions, he immediately prayed that God should spare Israel (Verse 2,5) and the looming punishment was averted.
Prayer is a powerful weapon that God has given to His children in all ages to tackle prevalent evil occurrences in our nation and the world at large. Upon hearing, seeing and reading from the daily news, the alarming rate of bombing, ritual and religious killings, violence, insecurity and all forms of corruption and atrocities that attract God’s displeasure, most people resort to murmuring, complaining, blaming authorities, fear and agitation.
As genuine believers, we must, like Amos, Daniel and John Hyde, become burdened for our land. We must, as a matter of urgency arise as individuals, families or groups of believers to intercede for our nation and the entire world for God’s mercy and intervention through importunate and passionate intercession. Make up your mind to become a fervent and ardent intercessor today.
Thought For The Day: Faithful intercessors can hold back God’s wrath.
The Bible In One Year: John 6-7
