Worship is you acknowledging who God is, His Nature and Attribute. Worship does not mean slow songs. The Father desires us to worship Him in spirit and in truth. He has created us for His own pleasure and worship is the only thing we do to God and for God that directly and personally blesses Him. It is the only thing we do to minister to Him. It is different from Praise and Thanksgiving. Praise is to hail God for what He can do or has done before and Thanksgiving is you appreciating God for something specific that He has done. Worship is your expression of devotion to the sovereignty of God. It involves your life, thoughts and actions. 

You can’t have an acceptable worship life if you are living in sin. Learn to worship God from the Bible and not traditions of men. It is the Holy Spirit that can lead you into effective worship. The words you use in worship must be sourced from His Word because culture has corrupted the worship lifestyle of most Christians. Pick your language, action and mode of worship from the Bible. You can’t pick dancing steps from the devil to worship God. You cannot worship God with strange songs. 
Worship is not supposed to be part of our lives as believers, but our very lives in itself; it is submitting our very lives to God. Everything you do with an awareness of God and the primary motive of bringing Glory and pleasure to God is an act of worship. Worship is seen when your love, trust and obedience to God is wholehearted. Worship to God must be unconditional- not only when the circumstances are good, but also when you are down.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the heart and spirit of a true worshipper that pleases you unconditionally in Jesus’ name.
