TOPIC - NOT NOW?
Read: Psalm 95:7-11
MEMORISE: Today, if you will hear His voice: "Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness (Psalm 95:7b-8).
EXPOSITION
One of the things that has subtly bedeviled mankind, and has contributed largely to backwardness and unproductivity in all facets is procrastination. Before, we used to learn, “Procrastination is the thief of time.” But now, we learn hard that “Procrastination is a waste of life!” Unfortunately, many adopt this demon concerning their salvation. Many have given excuses of, different versions, for not submitting timely to Christ. Let these know and learn of their contemporaries in Luke 14:15-21, and what thereafter befell them!
God created you. For that reason alone, you should serve no other person than Him. The best time is now, even the best time to give your life to God, if you have not. Do you know the reason? A time is coming when it will be entirely too late to do that. No emergency salvation provision is guaranteed, if one has successively and perpetually refused the free offer of salvation (Jn. 3:18ff; Heb. 2:3).
Do not wait till you will be running to mountains to fall on you before you want to accept the salvation provided for in Jesus Christ; not the time that you will want the earth to open its mouth and swallow you! Everything will soon happen. Now is the right time. If not now, when then? The time is coming when it would be eternally too late. Don’t wait for that time to come upon you like the labour time of a pregnant woman. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour NOW! Delay no more; avoid danger and death.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord Jesus, let me not joke with the salvation You came to provide for me with Your precious life.
2. If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, seize this opportunity to confess your sins now, ask for His forgiveness, and accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.
3. Pray for the grace to remain saved, till the coming of our Lord Jesus.
