Your faith needs food and you must feed it. If you don’t feed your faith and starve your doubt, your faith will grow lean; that’s what I have found out about faith. I’m using plain man’s language and I will tell you its food.
If you are standing on a particular scripture and it seems your faith is wavering on it, go and read that scripture again. Feed yourself more on that scripture; without feeding your faith it will shrivel off. We all feed our body, that’s how we get strength. Your faith needs the strength that the word of God can provoke for you.
Don’t feed on magazines and all kinds of foolish stories. Feed on the word of God. Feed on Christian novels that will increase your faith (not all Christian novels are good, avoid novels that glorify problems).
Don’t read a material that will injure your faith. If your faith can be fed, it can be poisoned with wrong food, so only read materials that encourage your faith. You can have big faith because you can grow your faith just like you can grow by feeding well. It is not every food that you eat that is good. Take solid food of faith every day. Eat three solid square meals of faith daily, but then, you can also service it with snacks of faith. Service it with some vitamins of faith too. Part of servicing faith is, singing praise worship songs full of faith.
The Bible says, “Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.” Don’t hear what is not of faith.
PRAYER: Lord, I pray for an inflow of the right channels and media to feed my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen!
BIBLE IN A YEAR: Job 31:1-33:33, 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, Psalm 43:1-5, Proverbs 22:8-9
