ATTRACT DIVINE VISITATION
READ: 2 Chronicles 1:7-12
7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
MEMORISE: Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD had visited His people by giving them bread (Ruth 1:6).
EXPOSITION
Sometimes, children of God are allowed to go through situations that appear like mockery to their persons, names and grace. For instance, Zachariah and Elizabeth were an upright couple who ministered before the Lord but were yet barren till old age (Luke. 1:5-7). ‘Naomi’ means ‘pleasant’ but the woman with the name faced very bitter situation that almost turned the name upside down (Ruth.1:1). Elkannah’s first wife was named Hannah, a woman with the name which implies grace, but she was childless for many years.
When a situation that appears like a mockery to your person, nice name and grace is around you, it is a platform for divine visitation. Just note that God is about to come around to turn things around for your good. Hannah attracted divine visitation. God honoured her with children. Her expectation was downloaded and delivered unto her (1 Sam. 2:20-21).
One of the ideal steps Hannah adopted to attract divine visitation is prayer combined with vow. The Bible says that she prayed to the LORD and made a vow (1 Sam. 1:2-11). There are things God has made in two and some in three, such as prayer and fasting, or prayer, fasting and vow. Sometimes, you have to combine prayer and vow to get answer to your prayer. Prayer provokes divine visitation.
Most importantly, your prayer is acceptable to God when you have given your life to Jesus, you love His Word, and pray based on the Word in His holiness (Prov. 15:8,9,26;28:9)
PRAYER POINT
1. Oh Lord, deliver my expectation to me, in Jesus’ name.
2. Oh Lord, visit me and bring out miracle from every mockery situation around, in Jesus’ name.
3. Oh Lord, visit our nation once again and turn all forms of scarcity to plenty, in Jesus’ name.
