certain man decided to end his marriage when his wife refused to bring him a glass of water, saying it was a job for their domestic help.
He just told his wife: ‘it is over since you cannot give me a cup of water, leave my house for the domestic help’.
This issue looks so insignificant and trivial to have caused big ‘war and upsets’ such as divorce. How can a glass of water degenerated to a divorce? You must beware of little, little foxes that destroy the vine. Out of little things come great things, either positive or negative. What makes a thing great or small is just our interpretation of it in that present circumstance.
From the above issue described, the matter led to a divorce because of the way the man interpreted it.According to King Solomon, what destroyed his vine were little, little things: in the form of being ungrateful, unguarded utterances that appeared minor. According to the book of Galatians 5:9, what leavens the whole lump was a little yeast. Little things can create a smile and little things can bring about tears.
One word can end a fight; one hug can start a friendship; one smile can bring unity; one person can change your entire life. Oh! The power of little things, it was just little porridge that exchanged the destiny of Esau for that of Jacob. It was just one bullet that ended the vision and the fiery enthusiasm in Martin Luther King Jnr
