In the process of faith there are three sets of actions;
 
1. HEARING (Romans 10:17)
The Bible's only way for faith to come is hearing. The Gospel must be preached for people to hear and have faith in it. The Word is sown by hearing and this is done in 2 ways: Hear it by teaching or preaching from another or Hear it by you speaking it to yourself. Don't open yourself to hearing of fear which is the devil’s ability to hurt you while faith is you believing God's promise and ability to help you. The learner humbles himself to listen and receive. Until what you hear changes, expectation will not come.
 
2. SPEAKING THE WORD (Genesis 1:3,5,9,11,14)
You speak the word so that you can hear it and to release your faith for God and angels to work with. Speaking the word is God’s principle. God established speaking as a principle of faith. He creates through speaking. Words are creative agents and tools by which God’s counsel and will come to pass. What you see in your life today is what you've been speaking. You mix God's word with faith by speaking it. The people in Hebrew 4:1-3 heard it but did not mix it with faith by speaking it; and they missed the result.
 
3. DOING THE WORD OF GOD (Mark 4:26, Joshua 1:8, James 2:17)
This is the set: Hear, say and do. Faith is not being idle but putting forth corresponding actions. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, the widow poured oil according to the word. In John 2:1-10, they fetched water and drew it according to the word. In Mark 2:9-12, the man with the palsy arose and took his bed according to the word.
 
PRAYER: Lord I pray for the wisdom to work out my faith effectively in Jesus’ name. Amen!
