C.A.C LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR July 11, 2018 : TOPIC - MURMURING AND COMPLAINING

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. TOPIC: MURMURING AND COMPLAINING

Read: Exodus 16:1-10

1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:
7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.
9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings.
10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
MEMORISE: Also Moses said, "This shall be seen when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the LORD hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD" (Exodus 16:8).

EXPOSITION

The children of Israel had left Egypt after about 430 years where they had been so cruelly treated, and had cried unto God, seeing God’s awful judgment against the Egyptians’ army and His miraculous deliverance, the people feared and believed the Lord. But here, and for the third time, they complained against God and Moses. They lost faith in their God because of what to eat and what to drink.

God rained manna from heaven, but with precise instruction, to test once again, their willingness to trust and obey Him (Deut. 8:2,3). As believers, we are to see negative circumstances as tests of our confidence and trust in God. Rather than murmur and charge Him foolishly, let us be comforted and encouraged by Job’s conduct in the face of adversity (Job 13:15). Be gone unbelief! Mine is the Lord.
It is unwise to easily forget God’s past dealings and hastily resort to complaining and murmuring because of minor pains. Each victory God grants us should elevate our faith and provide us with the wherewithal to face future challenges.

Are you already facing hard times in your Christian or secular journey? Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. Soon, you will discover that, underneath you, is the everlasting Arm of the Lord. He will neither forsake nor leave you, not even in the valley of the shadow of death.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Heavenly Father, terminate my suffering by Your mercy and ultimate power, in Jesus’ name.
2. Oh Lord, my creator, let all enemies of my good dreams be frustrated by my success, in Jesus’ name.
3. Father Lord, grant Your Church the spirit of patience and tolerance in the face of even the touch toughest of all trials.
