Everything that is healthy integrates with something that is larger than itself. Everything that is healthy integrates with something that is larger than itself. For example, you cannot say you are a human being without coming from a family. You cannot say you are a student without having a school you are attending or you are enrolled in.
Yet people come to church and say they are members of the body of Christ without belonging to a local church. These are not healthy Christians and when you walk with unhealthy people, they can infect you with their communicable diseases. Every Christian should have a church that he is not just attending but he is a member of. Membership means being a part, a partner and a participant not just an attendant, like in Acts 1:17, 25-26.
Attendance does not guarantee full flow of grace. You must be a part, a partner and a participant in whatever goes on in your local church. The grace that comes is for functioning. Your faith and grace grows as you function in these three aspects of membership. 
Do not say you will start participating only when you find out your area of grace. You can start participating in your area of convenience before you eventually find out your area of grace. Which of the activities in the church is convenient for you? Decide on the one you want to participate in and do it. Start with what is convenient.
However, there are some activities in church that are not negotiable e.g. (1) Sunday service (2) Bible study(3) Prayer meeting. They are fellowship times when you feed and equip yourself (Read Acts 2:41-42).

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to participate correctly in my local church family in Jesus’ name. Amen!
