Spirit Meat Daily Devotional For June 29, 2018 : Topic - GODLY COUNSEL FOR WOMEN PERCEIVING THE CALL OF GOD - ACTS 9:17-19; PHILIPPIANS 3:10-11

The call of God is as God chooses, not because we are good. While these counsels are valid for men and women who perceive the call of God, they are directed at women. If you perceive the call of God as a woman, here are a few things you should do:

1) Ascertain the genuineness of the call. Be sure it is not just zeal, environmental motivation, desire or ambition.
2) Begin to build a personal relationship with God; to know Him personally, not just to serve Him, but to know Him, please Him and be able to represent Him on the earth. 
3) Let God change you to His image. You cannot afford to reflect what God is not to your world. Don’t run as you are, get transformed and get changed into a personality that can carry God’s yoke without shame. 
4) Be sure you don’t have the wrong fashion that showcases the world more than the Lord. You are no more your own; you are His vessel. 
5) Have a God-given mentor, not your own self-desired model. My husband, Rev. Olusola Areogun, who is also my father in the Lord will say, “Mentorship is a contact sport.” You need a mentor that will be able to verify what exactly you are doing. Mary went to Elizabeth (Luke 1:39), Saul went to Ananias (Acts 9:17-19), Samuel went to Eli (1 Samuel 3:4-5). The list is unending.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because You are not a respecter of persons. I ask You to lead me to my God-ordained mentor. Mould me and process me into what You want me to be in Jesus’ name.
