Spirit Meat Devotional for April 7,2018 : Topic - THE VISIBLE PATH IS OFTEN THE ALTERNATIVE PATH [Matthew 1:18-25]

Yesterday we learnt the way God allows the hidden path of your divine destiny to pull your heart until you align to it. The second path is a visible path that is drawn out in life’s situations and circumstances, societal demands, education and family background. For example, while my wife and I were in courtship, God had shown me He was calling me to ministry and I had started on the road of ministry. However, my wife wanted me to have a Master's degree because her father, a renowned educationist had trained his children with the philosophy that the lowest benchmark for an educated person is a Master's degree. And even though my wife supported the call of God, she urged me to get a Master's degree. I explained that God did not intend that for me, she later realized this and stopped pressurizing.
A friend of mine was also engaged to a very intelligent lady who did not believe in full-time ministry but my friend was called of God to full-time ministry. God gave him a night vision where he saw an orange tree on top of a mountain held down by different kinds of twines and parasitic chords, and God freed him from that wrong courtship. There are times when you assume you are on the right path and God interrupts you in His mercy like He did for Joseph. I pray for you that every time you are about to travel the wrong path, the Lord will interrupt you as He interrupted Joseph.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that you deliver me from every decisions or pursuit that is contrary to the purpose and destiny that You have ordained for my life in Jesus’ name.
