CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH THE LIVING WATER DEVOTIONAL FOR APRIL 2, 2024 : TITLE - YELLOW CARD (II)

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH THE LIVING WATER (January-December, 2024)

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

DATE : Tuesday, April 2, 2024
(Autism Awareness & International Children's Book Day)

TOPIC: YELLOW CARD (II)

MEMORISE : He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy (Proverbs 29:1).

READ: : Proverbs 29:1-6

[1]. He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without

remedy.

[2]. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

[3]. Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, but a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.

[4]. The king establishes the land by justice,
but he who receives bribes overthrows it.

[5]. A man who flatters his neighbor Spreads a net for his feet.

[6]. By transgression an evil man is snared,
but the righteous sings and rejoices.

EXPOSITION

It is not good to wait till God unleashes on you His wrath before you begin to look for the solution. It is like trying to cry when the head is off, or deliberately running into a moving truck on high speed-suicide! The Wiseman warns in Proverbs 29:1 that it is a thing of joy to be warned and rebuked but deliberately hardening one's neck is a conscious invitation to destruction without remedy. This warning becomes more necessary in these days of disdain for instruction, rebuke and correction. Of course, these are the things the Holy Book is meant to do in our lives if we would grow, mature and be perfect the way God wants it (2 Tim. 3:16,17). But what are our attitudes to this loving provision of God directly from His Word, through our parents, peers and leaders at all levels? On this Autism Awareness Day and International Children's Book Day, it is our heartfelt prayer that, we will not be suddenly destroyed as a result of disdain for wisdom. Amen.

You know God has severally warned you about that misbehaviour, ill-character, or wrong attitude, yet you have remained adamant. May it not be too late before you realise. A player who refuses to be cautioned on the field for misdemeanour will soon suffer expulsion. Don't wait till God sends you packing from His righteous presence before you make amends.

PRAYER POINTS

1. I rebuke every spirit of adamance to divine warnings in my life, in Jesus' name.

2. May Proverbs 29:1 never be negatively fulfilled in my life, in Jesus' name.

3. Pray for CAC Good Women Association, the leader and members, as directed by the Spirit of God.

SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY:
CAC GHB: 241

1. Loving Saviour, hear my cry,
Hear my cry, hear my cry,
Trembling to Thine arms I fly;
O save me at the Cross!
I have sinn'd, but Thou hast died,
Thou hast died, Thou hast died,
In Thy mercy let me hide
O save me at the Cross!

Chorus:
Lord Jesus, receive me,
No more would I grieve Thee,
Now, blessed Redeemer,
O save me at the Cross!

2. Tho' I perish I will pray
I will pray, I will pray;
Thou of life the Living Way,
O save me at the cross!
Thou hast said Thy grace is free,
Grace is free, grace is free,
Have compassion, Lord on me;
O save me at the Cross!

3. Wash me in Thy cleansing blood,
Cleansing blood, cleansing blood;
Plunge me now beneath the flood:
O save me at the Cross!
Only faith will pardon bring,
Pardon bring, pardon bring
In that faith to Thee I cling;
O save me at the Cross!

Amen.
