LESSON FORTY (40)
TOPIC: SUSTAINING THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 2 (THROUGH PRAYERS)

BIBLE TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
[16]Rejoice evermore.
[17]Pray without ceasing.
[18]In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

CENTRAL TRUTH: Prayer is the crucial connection to God's mightiness.

INTRODUCTION: Prayer is the gateway to harnessing and sustaining the fire of the Holy Spirit. We must be willing to pray at all times to be able to manifest God's will. Our Lord Jesus Christ frequently prayed, even before going to the cross; He prayed more for grace for the journey ahead. From our text, we are commanded to pray without ceasing and rejoice forever even as we give thanks to God Almighty to align with His will for us.
