UCB Word For Today Devotional For March 28, 2023 : Topic - The joys of heaven (2)

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. The joys of heaven (2)
28 MARCH 2023

‘The city was 1,500 miles wide, and 1,500 miles high’
Revelation 21:16 NCV

The next time you feel cramped for space, read this: ‘The city was built in a square, and its length was equal to its width. The angel measured the city with the rod. The city was 1,500 miles long, 1,500 miles wide, and 1,500 miles high’ (v. 16 NCV). That’s an area of over two million square miles – making the new Jerusalem bigger than most countries in the world. In fact, it’s almost twenty-four times larger than the United Kingdom, and over half the size of the entire continent of Europe! A city that big would be anything but crowded and uncomfortable.

And here is something even more incredible: it’s fifteen hundred miles high! There will be no space limitations. And that confirms what Jesus said about heaven: ‘In my Father’s house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you’ (John 14:2 KJV). Since the same God who created the earth also designed heaven, and since Paul said heaven will be ‘far better’ (Philippians 1:23 NKJV), think of the most beautiful place you have ever visited and multiply that scene by infinity. John the Revelator described it in these words: ‘The City shimmered like a precious gem, light-filled, pulsing light’ (Revelation 21:12 MSG).

One night as he held his father’s hand and looked up at the stars, a little boy said to his dad, ‘If the wrong side of heaven is so beautiful, what must the right side look like?’ Jesus died so that you could go to heaven. But you don’t go by chance; you go by choice. So, have you placed your trust in Christ to be your Saviour? If so, see you there!

Deuteronomy 19-21, Mark 13:21-37
