Church Of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) 4 October 2022 – A Call For Dedication

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. TOPIC: A Call For Dedication

READ: Romans 12:1, 2 (NKJV)

  1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.
  2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

THE MESSAGE:

Paul usually ends his letters with advice. In this epistle, he ends it with a practical advice that brings the body of the letter to a close. Paul’s letters often take this pattern of doctrinal teaching followed by practical instructions aimed at helping believers live out their faith in Christ. In today’s passage, Paul discusses the individual’s responsibility for worship and personal transformation. Believers must possess a single-minded passion to please God in love, devotion, praise, and holiness, and to offer the members of their bodies for His service. Believers’ greatest desire and prayer should be to live a life of holiness and to be acceptable to God. As Christians, we must live for God, worship Him, obey Him, stand by Him against sin and stand for righteousness. We must present our bodies to God as dead to sin and alive unto Him (Romans 6:11).

We must also realize that the present world system is evil (Acts 2:40; Galatians 1:4). Christians should stand against the prevailing and popular forms of the spirit of this world, proclaiming instead the eternal truth and righteous standards of God’s word. We must despise and abhor what is evil, love what is righteous, and refuse to yield to the various types of worldliness that constantly surround the Church. Christians should have their minds conformed to God’s way of thinking (Philippians 2:5), through reading and meditating on His word. They must also dedicate their souls, bodies and will to God.

PRAYER: God I rededicate my life to You today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
