38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

MESSAGE:
Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Jesus already told us that in the world, we would face trials but that He has overcome all. Everyone would pass through trying times and the truth about trials is that it never ends. When one trial ends, another begins. There could be a time of rest in between but as long as we are living, we are bound to face trials. That is why Jesus told us to come to Him: He is the burden lifter.
Man, most times is always seeking a way out of his troubles without God. He may be calling God with his mouth but not with his heart. Unfortunately, God always seems to be the last resort or not even an option at all. People find it easy to run to friends that may give them wrong counsel, or settle for diabolic means to solve their problems, which only increases the problem. They may decide to complain, shout or misbehave.
Jesus is the Master over every storm. He is the only way out of our troubles. The Bible says that He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We must make it a habit to run to Him first at all times. Isaiah 43:2 states, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” God Himself is telling us that He is the Master over every storm. No matter what you are going through, He is able to deliver you completely. But God cannot ensure your deliverance and safety if you are not His child. You have an opportunity now to accept Jesus by saying this prayer: Lord Jesus, have mercy on me and forgive all my sins. Come into my heart and take control of my life. Please take my name out of the book of death and put my name in the Book of Life. Henceforth Father, give me the grace to live according to Your will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
