You don’t know who you will save from hell by just responding to a stirring in your heart. Some of us have difficult parents and all of a sudden, you just feel moved to share the gospel with them; you must not hesitate because that may just be the last chance they’ve got to listen to the gospel.
Sometimes, you just have a stirring in your heart to preach in a commuter bus, just give the gospel to them. You may even be surprised that you might occasionally find yourself flowing in any of the gifts of the Spirit because of your obedience.
When your heart moves you to do something, go ahead and do it. It may be to minister to the sick or something else, don’t hesitate. Just like the case of a brother who had a headache and was moved to tie a cold towel around his head, which he did. No sooner had he done this than the headache vanished. Let’s learn to pick these signals from our spirit. Understand that God has a better way of leading you than just walking by your senses and experience.
You can neglect the stirring of your spirit but you will be disobeying your spirit man to your detriment. God does not plan that Christianity should be a crisis kind of living; Christianity is meant to be lived on the platform of the supernatural. The supernatural is part of Christianity, but the majority of Christians don’t walk in it every day. The supernatural is what you can get by learning to follow the spirit that is inside of you that is born again and recreated.
PRAYER: Lord, I join my heart to divine promptings, and I receive grace to move at the impulse of any stirring in my heart in Jesus name. Amen!
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 32:28-52, Luke 12:35-59, Psalm 78:56-64, Proverbs 12:24
