BE SMARTER!

Read 2 Corinthians 2:11

MEMORISE: Lest Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)

EXPOSITION

Thank God for the technological breakthrough that enables the whole world to connect through wireless communication devices. The advent of smart phones has invaluable contributions to human activities. Smart phones are called 'smart' because they are far more sophisticated and effective than the conventional phones. These phones usually perform incredible  operations.  However, as  a child of God, you must never be ignorant of the devices of the devil. Many conscious, unconsciously or subconsciously allow their smart phones to be 'smarter' than  them! When your smart phone suddenly or gradually takes the place of God in your heart, then it has become "smarter' than you. (Deut. 6:5). When your so-called smart phone replaces your personal quiet time, it has become 'smart' than you are! (Josh. 1:8)

If you operate your smart phone to perform illicit transactions, dirty deals, and questionable things, then it has become smarter than you (I Thess. 5:22). Some find it difficult to switch off their devices in the church. They play games, do gambling, snap-chat, and even  watch movies and nudes in the church! This is quite unbelievable for you as a Christian! If the earthly governor or president will disallow you to speak with them, no matter how highly placed while in a meeting, why do you take God for granted? Over-familiarity with divine things is dangerous. You should fear the awesome God (Deut. 6:1-2). You can make a resolve that your smart phone won't be 'smarter' than you. You should outsmart it by being in control of it. Do not be under the possession, oppression, suppression and obsession of the technological mania! God is surely behind all man's innovations. However, their abuse is of the devil! Beware! 

PRAYER POINTS:

1. From today, I take total  control to outsmart my smart phone, in Jesus'name.

2. Lord, I receive the grace to put under strict control whatsoever I have purchased with my money.

3. Pray for those who have become fraudulent through the use of technological equipments that God would deliver them.
