Today, let us look at some things that can hinder angelic operations.

1. Negative speaking. This is speaking contrary, speaking against, or speaking what is not the Word of God. You cannot fulfil the Word of God yourself; you can only believe the Word of God. Only God can fulfil His Word and in bringing His Word and will to pass for you, God has made angelic provisions available but negative speaking hinders their operations (Luke 1:18-20).

2. Breaching a vow. Many people do not respect their vows and they do not know that this is one of the things that hinder angels from operating. Ecclesiastes 5:6 says, “Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?” When you made your marriage vows, for example, angels were involved. 

3. Impatience. In Daniel 10:12-13, the angel told Daniel that from the first day that he began to pray, God sent the answer, but the Prince of Persia withstood that angel for 21 days. Thank God that Daniel continued fasting for 21 days until the angel got through. 

4. Self-will. Balaam in Num. 22:22-24 exemplifies how self-will can cause angels to work against a man. God said he should not go, and he still went back and prayed again. If after you have known the will of God, you go to pray again, you are living in rebellion. May Divine Angels not stand as adversaries against you!

PRAYER: Father, help me to get rid of these hindrances so I can enjoy every angelic ministry You have released my way in Jesus’ name.
