December 3, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic - ROLES OF THE MAN AND WOMAN IN MARRIAGE (1) - Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-23

The marriage union will be effective when the man and the woman understand their place and function accordingly. You cannot have a correct joining in marriage when the husband is not functioning as the head or where there is no submission from the wife.
Submission is what brings a woman into joining with the husband. In fact, I told some women that if they were not going to be submissive to their husbands, they should not have children yet, to prevent any complication in childbearing. The Bible says so clearly in 1 Timothy 2:15. Every society must find a way for the woman to submit biblically to the man before a joining can take place.
What brings a man into joining with his wife is that he must leave his father and mother. As a man, are you a head that something can join to? God doesn’t start anything with the leg, He starts everything with the head and then He begins to join everything to it. Adam was first in place before Eve was joined to him and then, the children came in. When the head doesn’t know himself, nothing joined to him can find its direction. I have never seen a man that is under the dominion of either his father or his mother that succeeds in marriage.
For a family to be united, there must be a family vision to which all must submit, that is, everyone must bring their gifts, abilities, skills, etc. under this vision in order to propel it. You must be clear whether you are actually joined together or merely living together as a couple.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to understand my place and function accordingly as a husband/wife in Jesus name.
