TOPIC : Ungodly Leadership: The Remedy .

MEMORY VERSE : Ezekiel 3: 17 .

TEXT : Jer.51:20-33 .

 AIMS : To
i. show that Christians can be God’s solution to checkmate ungodly leadership,
and
ii. find out how Christians should seek solution to ungodly leadership .


INTRODUCTION :
In our last study, we saw that Christians have a critical role to play in curbing
ungodliness in leadership. This study offers more on the cure for ungodliness.
But let it be said now that God has no better instruments for eradicating
ungodly leadership other than partnering with Christians. We are the remedy
especially if we become what He expects of us and do what He commands us to
do.

STUDY GUIDE
1. What do you recommend as the ‘remedy for ungodly leadership’?
2. a. Who does God use to remedy ungodliness in leadership (use angels,
humans, Christians, stones or what)? 2 Kings 12:2; 2 Chron.34:3;
Jer.51:20-23; Matt.5:13 .
b. What attitudes or attributes must Christians possess to be so used by God ?
Isa.41:15; 49:2 .
3. How may Christians be used by God in this regard? 1 Kings 21:17-21;
Eccl.7:5; Isa.2:4; Ezek.3:17; 1 Tim.5:2 0.
4. How well has the Church served as God’s remedy to ungodly leadership in
our society? Cf. Isa.59:16; Jer.5:1; Ezek.22:23-31 .

CONCLUSION :

 Committed Christians who seek to please God at all costs have been His
remedy for ungodliness over the centuries. Though they may pay for it dearly,
His purpose should be uppermost in their hearts for a speedy remedy to
ungodliness. Seek to be among them!

 FOOD FOR THOUGHT : Ungodly leadership is overcome when true Christians
without bias, stand up to set the pace for others to
follow.
