Spirit Meat Daily Devotional For August 17, 2019 : Topic - FAITH, PRESUMPTION & FOOLISHNESS - HEBREWS 11:6, JAMES 4:1-3

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. Spirit Meat Daily Devotional For August 17, 2019 : Topic - FAITH, PRESUMPTION & FOOLISHNESS - HEBREWS 11:6, JAMES 4:1-3

God has a covenant demand of faith from everyone that has come into a living relationship with Him to commit the totality of His Power. This can be likened to the kind of covenant rights that a married couple have for each other because of the marriage covenant.

There are other things that people try to live by which the devil takes advantage of to mock the message of faith; and those are PRESUMPTIONS and FOOLISHNESS.

Faith is based entirely on what God has promised, not man’s desire and ambitions nor asking according to fleshy lusts (read James 4:1-3). The solution is in what His word has said. True biblical faith is tied genuinely to promises from God. Faith is clinging to the promise. II Peter 1:4 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”.

Presumption is desiring, believing and confessing what God never promised you from His word. Whatever you believe God for must be backed up with a written promise or spoken Rhema. See Daniel in Daniel 9:1-3.
While faith is calling what be not as though they were, foolishness is calling what be as though they were not. It is denying what is. What have you been trying to live by? Faith, presumption or foolishness? Remember, “The just shall live by Faith.”

PRAYERLord, teach me how to intelligently live by faith and not by presumption or foolishness in Jesus’ name. Amen!
