The bible contains two things majorly that should guide the believer’s life to flourish. They are; Doctrines and Promises.
Doctrines consist of a body of beliefs that the Bible teaches the Christian to practise in order to maintain their status as kingdom members. It establishes the believer in holy living that takes him to heaven, and it is very important we must hold fast to them. Sound doctrines give a man integrity of heart and guarantees the consecrated life for God on the earth that secures a man’s portion in heaven.
Promises are what God himself made for His people in His word. Faith in God’s promises will put a man above the oppression and operations of the devil on the earth. A man can choose to be sick, but you don’t have to be sick because God has promised healing. Faith is the capacity to believe God and it comes by listening to and believing God’s promises. Learn from God’s faith to live by faith using His words. 
You can get the promises of God by: Personal search from the Bible (John 5:39), listening to messages through God’s servants (Psalm 44:1-3) and your sensitivity in the place of fellowship with God (Isaiah 50:4-5). Will all the promises of God happen automatically in every believer’s life? No! Not just what God has promised but what you can believe God for. You cannot believe what you have not heard or known. Your faith in God's promise makes them happen in your life so take time to know the promises of God over your life.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I enrol in the school of faith, teach me the God-kind of faith for my advantage in Jesus’ name. Amen!
