RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual For August 11, 2019 Lesson 50 : Topic – Rewards

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual For August 11, 2019 Lesson 50 : Topic  – Rewards

TOPIC: Rewards
OPENING PRAYER: Father, help me to be faithful to the end to obtain glorious rewards.
BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Corinthians 9:16-19, 24-27 KJV
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27:
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
MEMORY VERSE: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” – 2 Corinthians 4:17 (scroll down for RCCG Sunday School 11 August 2019 HYMN)
LESSON INTRODUCTION: The scriptures make it clear that believers will be rewarded for their labour of love to God (Rev. 22:12). The momentary light affliction, which is descriptive of this world of sorrow, pain, tears and problems will end the moment we cross to the other side (2 Cor. 4:17). The moment of affliction will be exchanged for an exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
TEXT REVIEW: 1 Corinthians 9:16-27

i. Teacher should find out from students what they understand by glories in heaven which await believers.
ii. Teacher should explain the following glories which truly born again believers are to expect:
a. To be with Christ on the last day (John 14:3). Everyone is happy to be in the presence of the King of kings.
b. To behold his face (Psalms 17:15). What a glory it will be just to be able to gaze at that wonderful face. (Rev. 22:4).
c. To behold the glory of Christ (John 17:24). We shall not only behold His face but also His glory. The disciples saw a glimpse of this glory on the mount of transfiguration. We shall see in full when we get to heaven.
d. To be glorified with Christ (Rom. 8:17-18). We are not just to behold his glory but we are to be glorified too. We do not know this means actually means but it is surely going to be marvelously wonderful.
e. To reign with Christ (Rom. 8:17-18). We shall reign with the King of kings. In Matt. 25:20-23; in the parable of the talents, the faithful ones were made rulers over many things.
f. To inherit all things (Rev. 21:7). Not some things but all things.

CLOSING PRAYER: Father, help me to endure to the end so that I may obtain my rewards.
