August 2, 2019 Anglican Church Daily Devotional : TOPIC - What Do You See?

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. TOPIC - What Do You See?
READ: Jeremiah 1:11-19 King James Version (KJV)
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
THE MESSAGE:
The almond tree was known as the Waker or the Watcher. It is the first tree to come out or survive the long night of winter and blossom in the spring. Like the almond tree, Jeremiah was to be an alarm clock, an awaker. The alarm clock is one of the most unpopular things in the world, most hated, especially while one is in a deep sleep. Yet it is relevant. Jeremiah was going to be a waker to the nation of Judah. This implies that God was going to watch over His word through Jeremiah, till they came to pass.
The boiling pot in Jeremiah’s time was the rising power of Babylon, which was to eventually destroy Judah.
Jeremiah’s job was to constantly warn his people over what was going to happen to them. What do you see in your life? What do you see in your family? What do you see in the Church of Christ? What do you see in your country and the other nations of the world? What you see determines your action. Jesus warned; do not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest.
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! (John 4:35). I am sure God must have been showing you something, a concern. Take heed and raise an alarm and rise to your responsibility. The Lord is coming soon.
Prayer: O Lord, give me a clear vision for my family, the Church and the society at large and enable me to raise an alarm, Amen.
