--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. TOPIC - APPOINTED TIME

TEXT: Psalm 102:12-28

KEY VERSE:
“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” - (Psalm 102:13).

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven, says the Preacher in Ecclesiastes 3:1. God has all things in the human life in His hands and under His control. It is man’s duty to get connected to God through the Saviour Jesus Christ and seize opportunity of emerging times and seasons to take hold on the promises of God’s word since we know that such Words are certain.

God had appointed 70 years of Babylonian captivity for Israel for their sin of disobedience and rebellion against Him. It was now about time for the nation’s deliverance, and the psalmist seeing that the set time was accomplished took it upon himself to pray for God to arise and have mercy on the nation.

There are lessons to draw from these. Firstly, sin leads into captivity and oppression of the devil, but repentance and obedience bring you out of it. Secondly, genuine repentance and importunity in prayer usually precede a time of spiritual refreshing - they are an indication of good things God wants to do. Conversely too, continual sinning and disregard for God’s word are indicators of gloomy days ahead. Thirdly, some of our important needs in life e.g. salvation have their time line. If we delay or refrain from seeking to get them, the opportunity may be lost forever.

On the other hand, saints whose breakthrough and comfort appear to delay should not look back but look up. As there was a set time for the Jews in Babylon, there is an appointed time for your breakthrough and when that time comes, no bar of iron nor gate of brass can prevent you. Divine help will not only come to the penitent, it will come at the best time.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God’s time is the best time, not that of mortal man.
