TOPIC - The God Of The Prophets (II) 
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 7-9; Acts 18
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 5:33-40
MEMORY VERSE: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep‘s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” – Matthew 7:15

The MESSAGE:
In the Bible, we found that there are genuine prophets of God and there are false prophets. The Bible calls false prophets by several names: wolves in sheep clothing, hirelings, etc. Jesus also predicted that in the last days fake prophets shall come. In many parts of the world, false prophets have arisen at one time or the other and God had exposed and disgraced them. As we continue our discourse on the God of prophets, it is important that we learn how to identify God’s prophets and how to identify false prophets. The Bible is our main guide in this journey of discovery.
It is not enough to have a prophet sent to us, we should observe the following for the ministry of prophets to prosper in our lives: first we must receive them as prophets (Matthew 10:41). The people of Jesus’ native town who refused to receive Him as a prophet did not get the important benefits of His life and ministry. Second, we must believe in their ministry. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says, “Believe God and you shall be established; believe his prophets and you shall prosper.” In addition, we must connect with prophets of God spiritually (Proverbs 27:19). Finally, we must honour them in our hearts. In Mark 6:4-5, Jesus said “A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.”

  1. Lord, destroy every plan of my adversaries, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Angels of breakthroughs, encamp around me, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every wicked agenda for my life, be annulled, in the name of Jesus.

  4. My blood, kill every disease targeted at you, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I withdraw my virtues from the camp of spiritual traders, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Every evil river in my place of birth, release my virtue, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I decree civil war in the camp of my stubborn enemies, in the name of Jesus.
