Today, we continue with the types of divine separation. Forced separation arises due to two reasons. First, if you don’t want to move when you have the power to move. Second, if you don’t have the power to move, then God will move you. Joseph’s separation from his bothers was forced and God-ordained. God started him on that journey of separation. 
 
God engineers some separations while some need to be initiated by men. When God wants you to make a change, He will wait for you to make some decisions intelligently. In relating with my friends, I have noticed there will be seasons when we see each other almost every week and then another season when we rarely see. Most people don’t understand the changing seasons of their lives and they end up getting confused.
 
In Genesis 13:8-9, we see a divine separation that Abraham had to initiate in order to maintain the operations of God in His life.  Abraham had enough wisdom and understanding to know that strife will create an atmosphere for the devil to stop what God wanted to do with him. James 3:16 says, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”
 
If you have a member of staff that brings strife into your company, educate such a person. Don’t tolerate strife because it creates an atmosphere for the devil to work. In marriage, if you and your spouse quarrel over anything or over a person, take note of such a thing or person and find a way to come to agreement. You must want what God wants for your family together. 
 
 
PRAYER: Lord, I refuse strife in my heart, my family and my business. Show me the separations that are long overdue in my life’s journey in Jesus’ name. Amen!
