June 10, 2019 DCLM Daily Manna Devotional : Topic- Sinner, The Greatest Loser

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. Topic- Sinner, The Greatest Loser

Text: 2 Kings 13:1-9 (KJV)
Key Verse: “Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria” (2 Kings 13:6).

MESSAGE:
A writer has declared: “In all history the sinner holds the record of mankind’s most foolish optimist: for he dines with the devil and imagines he has a mansion in heaven; he is the most foolish investor, for he gives all his time and life to gain the earth, which is but shadow and perishes with it. In all of time, the sinner is the greatest recorded loser; for he is the most wretched trader in that he gives away his soul for the world which he cannot have. Whereas the heaven which he may freely receive he is too late to seek.”
Today’s passage captures the reign of Jehoahaz, king of Israel, which was characterized by idolatry and evil modelled after the sins of Jeroboam. The evil and wickedness of Israel was so much that it kindled the anger of the Lord against them and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria and his son, Benhadad. Yet, after deliverance by God, they did not repent.
Now, why does the natural man lack the power for victory over sin and the flesh? It is because man lives in sin and there is sin in man. Jehoahaz could not resist the sins of Jeroboam because he had no anchor and he lived in a permissive society just like the present day.
You must be careful of the sins that attend your callings, occupations, trades, age and are prevalent in your country and place where you live. Determine to avoid rebellion, disobedience and all forms of compromise. Believers must flee every appearance of evil and sinners should run to Christ. Do not be a loser; Christ has paid the price for your repentance and restoration.
Thought For The Day: The sinner who rejects Christ is the greatest loser.
The Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 13-14
