SERVICE OBJECTIVES:1 Identifying the benefits of the Word of God
2 Maximizing the benefits of the Word of God
The Word of God is a mine or a field of inexhaustible and inestimable treasure (Col. 2:3). There are hidden riches in the Word of God, that is why a worded person in a loaded person (Col. 3:16).

THE PROFIT OF THE WORD OF GOD:
1. The Word brings light (Ps. 119:105, 130; Isa. 9:8; John 1:1-5) 
The Word of God brings illumination, revelation and direction.
The Word of God is the cure to the darkness of man; the Word of God brings shining to your life.
2. The Word brings joy (Ps. 119:162; Jer. 15:16; 1Thess. 1:6) 
The Word of God is a killer of depression. 
The Word of God injects enthusiasm.
3. The Word brings hope (Ps. 119:49, 81, 114; 130:5; Col. 1:5) 
The Word of God is a destroyer of hopelessness. 
No matter the situation the devil brings your way, always remember YOU ARE ON TOP OF THE ISSUE!
4. The Word births faith (Acts 6:7; Rom. 10:8, 17; 1Thess. 1:8; Heb. 11:3; 13:7) 
If you start with the Word, you must end with faith
WHY FAITH IS NECESSARY:Faith is a killer of fear.
You need the Word to build your faith and kill your fear
5. The Word is the Channel of power (Eccl. 8:4; Luke 4:32, 36; Heb. 1:3) 
If God wants to show power, He releases Word. 
Anybody who is worded is powered. 
What you see out of the Word increases your power and authority level.
6. The Word brings peace and rest (Isa. 48:18; Ps. 85:8; Acts 10:36; Matt. 11:28-29) 
The Word of God is a Communicator of peace. 
Anytime your restlessness and anxiety is increasing on any issue, it means your Word level is low; dive into the Word
7. The Word brings wisdom (Josh. 1:8; Jer. 8:9; Luke 11:49; Col. 3:16).
You cannot reject the Word and retain the wisdom 
The Word of God is a mentality sharpener, a sensibility-renovator; it makes you wiser beyond your age 
It doesn’t matter what you don’t know, if you know the Word of God, it will show you the way to know the other things you don’t know 
The Bible is a compendium of wisdom
8. The Word brings grace (Acts 20:32; John 1:14; Acts 14:3; 1Cor. 15:10) 
The Word of God is a conduit of grace; when people are worded they are engraced 
Grace is the secret of ease.
HOW TO PROFIT FROM THE WORD OF GOD:
Value is key to profit (Mark 4:24) 
The value you attach to God and His Word determines the profit that returns to you. 
Your sense of value determines the flow of virtue to you – Bishop David Oyedepo 
Anywhere there must be profit, there must be value.
HOW VALUE IS EXPRESSED:
a. By giving the Word a priority place in your life (Matt. 6:33) 
b. By giving the Word focussed attention in study (Mark 4:24-25) 
c. By taking the Word seriously through practical action (Jam. 1:25)
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word. I receive the grace to give Your Word a place of priority in my life, I receive the grace to give Your Word focused attention at the place of study, and to take Your Word seriously, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, from Your Word tonight, I receive joy, hope, faith, power, peace, rest, wisdom and grace, I receive it and move with it tonight, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, because of Your mercy I am not consumed. I apply for Your mercy. Father, according to Your Word, I am on top of that confrontation and situation around my life. Father, not for my sake, but for Your sake and for Your Name’s sake show Yourself in my life, in my family, and in Nigeria, Show Yourself Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
COMMUNION FOCUS (ACTS 20:32):
  • The Communication of all the benefits of the Word of God – light, joy, hope, faith, peace, rest, power, wisdom, grace
  • Every trace of confusion, depression, hopelessness, fear and despair, doubt, powerlessness, lack of wisdom, stress is arrested by the Communion
  • Everything that cannot withstand the Blood of Jesus can never survive in your life
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
  • Every trace of fear, doubt and unbelief in your heart, I command them to die NOW!
  • Every trace of stress in your life is arrested today!
  • From today, you will not just carry the Bible, the Bible will take you up
  • You shall live and fulfil your days
  • Kidnappers will never locate you and your loved ones
