C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON June 16th, 2019 : Eternal Plan of God for Man.

--> Note :- Are you born again? You are never going to win the battle against the devil if you are not born again. I plead with you to give your life to Jesus today because the longer you stay in sin and remain unsaved, the more hardened your nature becomes against the purpose and the way God wants you to be for His purpose. To give your life to Jesus now, say this prayer: “Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself but Jesus died for me and shed His blood that I might be saved. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart, be my Lord, wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.” I congratulate you and welcome you to the family of God if you have sincerely said that prayer. Now you are fit to discover, know and walk in your destiny. C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON
Eternal Plan of God for Man.
June 16th, 2019.

II.   THE FINAL COMING/CONQUEST (Revelation 20:1-15)
The final coming is the real coming when Jesus shall come to reign for a millennium. That would not take place until Jesus has conquered all His foes in battle with the sword coming from His mouth. No one who does not conquer with Him would reign with Him then.

A.   THE ARMAGEDDON WAR (20:1-6)
He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years (v. 2).
i.    As soon as the 7th year of the Period of Tribulation is over, Satan shall be released to gather his Beast, kings of the earth and their armies for the Armageddon war against the King of kings and the Lord of lords (Rev. 19:19).
ii. 20:1-3: Jesus, marching victoriously with saints towards His Millennial Reign over the earth (19:11-16) would crush the beast and the kings of the earth (19:17-21), and ultimately, the devil, in what should be called the millennial arrest of Satan (20:1-3).
iii. v. 3: For a 1000 years, the deceiver would go into confinement, bound from deceiving people. There would be tranquility throughout the reign. The spirit of deceit/falsehood is the major source of the world anarchy (Gen. 3:1ff; 1 Kgs. 22:19-23; Matt. 24:4,11).
iv. vv. 4ff: This shall usher in His 1000-year Millennial Reign. His feet shall stand upon Mount of Olive (Zech. 14:3-4; Acts 1:9-12), and Jerusalem shall not only be capital of Israel but of all the nations of the world (Isa. 60:13-14; Jer. 3:17; Ezk. 43:7).
v.   vv. 4-6:  Christ's reign is authentic and everlasting. Yet, this particular reign has time duration - 1000 years on earth. The thrones suggests Christ co-rulers with Him --- the martyrs and all who have refused to be deceived to worship or receive the beast's mark (v. 4).Also included are souls raptured (vv. 5,6; cf. 1 Cor. 15:35-58). Anyone who fails to come alive at the rapture would continue in death, until after the 1000 years. What a dreadful thing!
vi.  The period shall be characterised by the supreme reign upon the earth of righteousness (Isa. 11:3-5), reign of peace in all the nations (Isa. 60:17-18), joy and happiness filling all the earth (Isa. 25:6-8), long life and sound health (Isa. 60:20-23), and true eternal prosperity (Zech. 8:12).
vii. At the expiration of the tribulation, all the nations and remnants of the tribulation shall gather for war against the Lord, as He prepares to launch His Millennial reign. Not only that the nations shall lose the battle, but God shall feed their bodies to the birds of the air who had come at God's invitation. This is the Armageddon war. Escape for your life. Accept Jesus now. Don't live to fight against Jesus. You can never win the battle.

B.   THE GOG AND MAGOG WAR (20:7-15)
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (v. 10).
i.   v. 7: Sooner than later, the 1000 years would expire and Satan would be released before the final judgment and the coming of eternity in God's paradise for the saints.
ii.  vv. 8,9a: This shall enable him to deceive and gather the nations for the decisive war of Gog and Magog (cf. 16:14; Ezk. 38:17-23).
iii. vv. 9b, 10: The devil can never withstand God, his Creator. That is why you you have no cause to fear him at all. The Lord Jesus would perfectly effect His provisional victory over Satan and confine him eternally to the torment in the lake of fire with his followers.
iv. vv. 11-15: Then would be ushered in the Great White Throne Judgment (cf. 1 Cor. 5:10). Are you one of those who believe Jesus won't return? He promised to return (Rev. 1:7; 22:12). He is coming don't misuse His longsuffering (Rom. 13:11; 2 Pet. 3:4-13).
v. The Armageddon war would not be the final battle. The final battle is that at Gog and Magog. The devil is the initiator and mobilise of this war, unlike the Armageddon that would be mobilized by the beast (Rev. 19:17-21).

LESSON DERIVED
1.   The victory of Christ and the eventual arrest of Satan would usher in Christ's reign. Don't mingle with the devil in any way.
2.   Christ's Millennial and eternal reign would be devoid of falsehood and operations of the devil. Just make sure you make it there through our Lord Jesus Christ.

QUESTIONS
1.   What would happen to the devil prior to the reign of Jesus?
2.   The Millennial reign of Jesus Christ is periodic, not eternal. Explain.

SUGGESTED ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
Answers TO QUESTION 1:
i.    Prior to Jesus one-thousand-years reign, the devil would b effortless arrested How?
ii.   Because Jesus' reign is a reign of peace and righteousness, the man of sin, devil, the old serpent, would be seized and thrown in the bottomless pit for one thousand years..
iii. This would be like serving a jail term of one thousand years, as a punishment for all his past atrocities.
iv.  The reason given in the scripture for his arrest is that he may not deceive the earth for that period of the reign.
v.  This arrest would convince those who thought God allowed the devil, because He has no power over him, that God hasn't created anyone whom He cannot tame.
vi. Since it's not God Himself who would do the job, but an angel of His, you can now see the power of God. The angel of the Lord would carry God's power and glory from God's awesome presence, so much that He cannot be resisted by the whole forces of the devil and his cohorts, put together.
vii. The devil is in trouble. Please, don't follow him, in your own interest.

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS 2:
i.   'Millennial reign' is from the word millennium, which is not directly written in the scripture. It is a Latin word for one thousand.
ii.  It is used to describe the one-thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ here on earth.
iii. Jesus would come to reign on earth with the host of the saints, who have partaken in the Marriage Supper of the Lamp.
iv.  The reign, which shall be devoid of Satan's falsehood, deceit and anarchy is described as periodic, because it has time frame; it is limited in time. It is for one thousand years. It is not yet eternal.
v.  For one thousand years, Jesus would reign and the devil would be incarcerated. The fact that this reign would only last for a time suggests that is not eternal. Anything eternal connotes being everlasting, without time frame. This is the more reason you have to be at home with God, always.
vi.  Meaning, we need to note some scholarly views about the Millennial reign, which in the scholarly circle is termed, millennialism. The views are:
    a.  Premillennialism, which sees Christ's Second Advent as proceeding the millennium, thereby separating the Second Coming from the final judgment. The proponents believe that Christ would return prior to the Millennial kingdom (Rev. 19:11) to inaugurate it on earth. In this view, "Christ's reign" will be physically on the earth.
    b.  Postmillennialism, which sees Christ's second coming as subsequent to the millennium and concurrent with the final judgment. In this view, "Christ's reign" (during the millennium) will be spiritual in, and through the church. Unlike premillennialism, which believes that God alone initiates the second coming and the inauguration of the millennium kingdom, postmillennialists hold that Christians are responsible for setting in motion the Millennial kingdom by converting all of society to  Christianity (Matt. 24:14; 28:18-20).
    c.  Amillennialism basically denied a future literal 1000 year kingdom and sees the church age metaphorically described in Rev. 20:1-6 in which "Christ's reign" is current in, and through the church. Nevertheless, the prefix a ("not") of amillennialism does not mean that amillennialists don't believe in a millennial kingdom at all. It only denies the existence of a literal 1000-year kingdom on earth. Amillennialists do not view the millennium mentioned in Revelation as pertaining a literal thousand years, but rather as symbolic, and see the Kingdom of Christ as already present in the Church, beginning with the Pentecost in the book of Acts.
    d.  The Catholic Church strongly condemns millennialism, believing that the AntiChrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realized beyond history through the eschatology judgment.
vii. Of these different views, we believe from the Bible that Christ Jesus will physically return to the earth (i.e the Second Coming) before the Millennium (i.e. a literal thousand-year golden age of peace). Jesus' physical return to earth will occur prior to the inauguration of the Millennium. Revelation 20:1-6 that we just studied as part of our textual sources for this lesson clearly explains this.
viii. We should biblically adhere to the beliefs in the earthly millennial reign of Christ as well as the rapture of the faithful coming before the Great Tribulation preceeding the Millennium.

LIFE APPLICATION
Interestingly, Harry Heintz once said that during the 1960 US presidential campaign of John F. Kennedy, he often closed his speeches with the story of Colonel Davenport, the Speaker of the connecticut House of Representatives. According to Kennedy, on a fateful day in 1789, the sky of Hartford darkened threateningly, and some of the representatives, seeing this through the windows, feared the end was at hand. They immediately clamored for immediate adjournment of their seating. But Davenport rose and said, "The Day of Judgment is either approaching or it is not. If it is not, there is no cause for adjournment. If it is, I choose to be found doing my duty. Therefore, I wish that candles be brought." Why should we be afraid of what is to come if, we are truly His? We are to be faithful till Christ returns. Instead of fearing the dark, we are to be lights as we watch and wait.

CONCLUSION
By now, it is believed that you have been cleared on the issue of Christ' Second Advent. You now know better that there are two comings. One is of in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4. The saints both dead and living would be snatched up from the earth to the sky to be with Jesus as the trump of God and the voice of the archangel --- the rapture; the initial coming. The final coming is when He would be leading the host of rapturous believers, who had been with Him in the celebration of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in the sky, to come and reign with Him for a thousand years, here on earth --- the Millennial reign. May God give us the grace to eventually reign eternally with our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
