God knows exactly what to do in your case but will you fight for the best? Will you go for the best? When Moses was to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, Pharaoh, who is the picture of the devil, said, “You want to go and serve God in the jungle? Let your men go while your wives and children stay here.” Moses refused and Pharaoh replied, “Let all our family go, leave all your children here”, he still said no and Pharaoh said “Okay, leave your animals here -your economic life”, Moses replied “No, we will not leave even a hoof!” And they left with everything. They got the best of God.

When they were entering the Promised Land, there was the tribe of Reuben- that tribe has a strange ancestral spirit that settles for the second best. When they got to the promised Land and saw grass for their cattle on the other side, they settled outside the perimeters of God’s protection and they lured half of the tribe of Joseph to join them but Caleb said, “You have heard that the Anakims are on top of the mountain and that is the best place in this Promised land, give me this land. If the Lord is with me, I will drive them out”. Sometimes, when the best that God has for you shows up, it may come in the package that is dirty but you must work it out and bring out the best that is there. There’s a separation that God demands. Separate from the inferior, separate from the good, separate from the nice, and go for the best.

PRAYER: Lord, I separate from the good, from the better and the inferior; I choose the best you have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!
