TOPIC - Setting Spiritual Goals 
Bible In One Year: Leviticus 15-16; Matthew 27:1-26
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 14:26-31
MEMORY VERSE: “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” – Luke 14:33

The MESSAGE:
Spiritual goals are goals that help you improve your relationship with God. Some people have the goal to read the Bible every day, get baptised in the Holy Spirit and with fire, win souls, and give to God in cash and in kind. What are your goals?
If you want to make a change, improvement or grow in your spiritual life this year, set some spiritual goals that will get you to where you want to be. The greatest spiritual goal is one that will bring you closer to God in fellowship and communion. Great spiritual goals will improve the way you are serving God. They will also enable you to please God more and more. Good spiritual goals setting will give room for daily Quite Time (reading the Bible and praying), fasting at least twice a week consistently, holding vigil, at least once a week, attending church Bible study, midweek and Sunday services, engaging in soul winning and evangelism, etc.
Setting spiritual goals can, for instance, help change your financial status. Has the devil been cheating and short-changing you. Are you always broke and begging for bread? That is not your lot as a seed of Abraham and a child of God. And to achieve a positive change in your finances, you can set a spiritual goal of studying the word of God everyday to know the mind of God on a believer’s personal finances, His promises on blessing His children and their covenant rights as well as what a believer should do to access God’s blessings.
If you want to experience growth and improvement in any area of your life, set spiritual goals in that area. First, identify the area in which you will like to improve. Also identify the kind of growth and improvement you will like to see in the next six months or one year. Then set goals for achieving that improvement or growth.
When you set spiritual goals and establish plans to achieve them and take the right steps, your life will move forward and become a perfect picture of what God wants it to be like. Setting the right spiritual goals will take you to the destination you have always dreamt of and the expected end you have always loved to have.
Goals are statements of faith by which you say, “I believe God wants me to accomplish something by a certain date.” Second, a faith goal is attainable. It must be possible and practical. If you set an unrealistic goal, it will discourage you. Remember that if the Lord does not build the house they labour in vain that build it (Psalm 127:1). Pray about the goals you set.

  2. Lord, give me the grace and power to achieve my goals, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Lord, ignite my spiritual life with Your fire, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Father, release Pentecostal tongue of fire upon my life now, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Holy Spirit, release Your power upon me, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Holy Ghost fire, burn away spiritual filthiness, in my life, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Father, make me to hunger and thirst for righteousness, in the name of Jesus.
